HLS @ Haiti Relief Concert

Hey guys and gals voting for your best/fav band. If you guys have enjoyed our music and wanted to come to a show here's your oppurtunity.

We're playing at Second Street Community School in Burnaby on Friday, Feburary 26th @ 7:00. Tickets are 5 dollars in advance and 7 dollars at door.

It is a Haiti relief show which 100% of profit goes toward haiti plus each band has contributed 100 dollars in total to help set-up the show.

Youthinkrocks, it was nice to read your "balanced" review of these two talented bands! Just one thing I would comment on about your review is that HLS has 3 websites...FB, MySpace, and PureVolume....which document their LIVE performances for all the world to see. But you know, I can't find LIVE performances for The Knots on any website. Please let me know where these "much better live" performances are so that I can do my own comparisons, if you don't mind. Thx in advance.

The Knots is a very new band and has been with their current drummer for much less than half a year and prior to then, had videos posted live with their old drummer. Also, if you check out love lovin' you that is indeed live.

It takes time for a band to establish many pages and it is work. Also having only played a limited amount of shows as a band most of which weren't recorded would limit that.

I myself though, have been to a few Knots shows and can testify that the vocal and musical quality is exceptional. The music is almost identical live and very true to their talent.

i like both The Knots and High Life Scenery. i like High Life Scenery's catchy pop-punk sound but their live performances are terrible. The Knots could provide more upbeat music, but they are much better live and more mature. because of that, i think The Knots should win :)

These guys are gods, they play shows every 3 weeks, they are very HOT, and are amazing musicians. When I see them I cry because I'm so happy! I <3 you Geoffrey, Braedon, Julian, Mitchell, Val and Adam.

Mother Father came 2nd place at York House School's Talent Show last tuesday. The $150 they received went towards earthquake relief for Haiti.

I think people are upping the level of intensity of this contest far too much. We should worry less about how we can bash the other bands on social networking sites and how many stars down we can give them and just enjoy the quality and potential of this music.

There is talent in every single band here and congrats to the top 10!
