The perfect cure for a broken heart.

A Sleep & a Forgetting is a record that tells a story, and one that tells it well. After suffering through a difficult separation, Nick Thorburn, frontman of Canadian indie band Islands, fled to the studio and poured his inner heartache into music. The result is the perfect break-up companion. With tracks like No Crying, In A Dream It Seemed Real and Cold Again, the melancholy melodies aren’t much of a surprise; however, the sorrowful and deeply personal lyrics are able to invoke an authentically gut-wrenching response from listeners. Overall, this is a great listen that is sure to stir up a whole variety of emotions!
