Fresh and intense, these happy hues will bring your outfit to life, and surprisingly this spring trend works well with almost every piece of clothing you already have in your closet. The bonus? This look ought to make you feel as good as its colour: bright and cheerful.

Retro inspiration

Full of bright colours and eye-popping prints, retro-inspired accessories are sure to make you stand out this season. Whimsical pieces popped up on lots of spring runways, like Miu Miu’s bright, patterned handbags and Prada’s mod sunglasses. Try sporting chunky necklaces or a printed bag to create a modern vintage look.

I know what you’re thinking: “Bow ties and messenger bags? Definitely not my style.” But there’s more to this look than you think. With designers playing in this field, we see a focus on not just the unique preppy style, but comfort and substance as well. From modern details on oxfords to patterned neckties and rugged bags, it’s no surprise this trend has been popping up everywhere.
