If high school was a company, I was the CEO. I had a strong hold of high school by grade 12. I knew what classes I needed in order to graduate, what clubs to join, what events to partake in and most importantly, which teachers to stick around with. Now at university, I feel like I am back in grade 8.
I went from being the CEO, to the little intern fetching coffee, nervous about what to expect. Broadcasting is a field I always wanted to pursue, so I am excited to start the Radio and Television Arts Program at Ryerson. At the same time, however, I am nervous. I will have to re-build my reputation with teachers and students.
Before school started I wondered what school supplies I needed to be prepared, and now I wonder what my work load will be like - I can only wait and see what university will really be like when the honeymoon stage is over.
I don't think you should
I don't think you should worry too much! If you just show up with an open mind prepared to work I'm sure you'll already be one of the top people in your class! Good luck and let us know ho it goes!
