For as long as anyone can remember, teenyboppers and adolescent girls have struggled to fit in… that is, struggled to fit into clothes that just don’t fit quite right. To tweak Britney Spears lyrics, it’s that “I’m not a child, not yet a teen” faze when our hips are too small or too big, our legs are too long or too short, etc. It’s hard enough being a girl these days, and the struggle to find great clothes that fit properly is a hassle any young lady would gladly do without.
Triple Flip, an Alberta based store, is coming to the rescue and turning those awkward years into a good experience. Our hero can’t be spotted with a superman cape, but it does have stylish preteen clothing line.
Its most recent store opened its doors on July 23rd, at Park Royal Mall in West Vancouver, but other locations across Canada include Edmonton, Calgary and Saskatoon. And, of course, you can also buy directly from their online store.
My mind proceeded to do a “triple flip” after visiting their website and learning more. After clicking on the link to their Minky Dimple hoodie, I asked myself, ‘since when did preteen clothes get so creative and stylish?’ I have never seen a zipper hoodie that appeared so cute and so comfy. After unhinging my jaw, I did a bit more poking around and happily discovered the online store gives exact waist, hip and chest measurements of each clothing item.
Admittedly, Triple Flip, “Flipwear for the Modern Girl,” is a little pricier than your average clothing store. For example, the Minky Dimple hoodie ranges from $59 to $69. However, there are a variety of items to choose from – from bowler bags to wrap dresses. And I believe saving yourself from anguish is worth the extra $20.
In my opinion, this is great news for girls! I know full well that insecurity and awkwardness can be a major problem during preteen years. Having the option to shop a brand that is so preteen oriented, preteen friendly and stylish is a fantastic solution. I wonder why nobody thought of this earlier?

"Triple Flip" has put forth a brilliant yet simple idea that hopefully becomes the future of fashion. Honestly, I can't believe it took someone this long to think “hey, maybe I shouldn’t just standardize a couple sizes (if you can’t fit it, guess you’re out of luck) and throw them out there.” All clothing lines should have this method of sizing and tailoring their products to the consumers needs and hopefully, in the future it will be.
