On Tuesday March 16th in downtown Vancouver, luxury department store Holt Renfrew celebrated the launch of a new men’s line called Rogue. Just walking inside the building and down the stairs to the show took my breath away - the sight of the clothes and the people was inspiring for anyone interested in fashion.
The show was different, in a sense that there wasn’t a runway, but the clothes were on display at the side of the room. Looking at the line, I noticed it was all spring casual, with a palette of pastel colours, mixed with neutrals like greys, blacks, and whites. An item that really stood out was a pair of pink khaki shorts, which seemed like a great option for men during the spring.

Another item which I particularly liked was a blue fluorescent sports jacket, which came in different colours and styles, another which was black with blue stripes.
The band performing that evening was the Racoons, and the Vancouverite's music fit the mood perfectly. “We’re pretty much a garage band with synthesizers," the guys told me later on, and when I asked them about the show, they said they had a really good time. “We had a lot of fun, and we didn’t really know what to expect coming in. Everybody has been amazingly nice... and really attractive.”
As the crowd was enjoying all the event had to offer, it was obvious the launch was received exceptionally well. The concert went smoothly and, all in all, the night was a memorable one.
Fashion has also been fun
Fashion has also been fun for girls, and it's really great to see it being made fun for boys as well.
