Feel like checking out some of B.C.’s best up-and-coming bands on Canada Day? How about 20 of them? Then look no further than Surrey’s Canada Day festivities.
Beyond the headliners on the main stage, including the likes of Elise Estrada and Trooper, all Top 20 finalists from the 2011-2012 PEAK Performance Project will be performing.
Presented by 100.5 the PEAK and Music BC, the PEAK Performance Project is a professional development program that helps new and emerging artists with their music careers. As a kickoff to this year’s program, the best of B.C.’s indie-music scene will play short sets on an exclusive stage this July 1.
The event is free and takes place at the Cloverdale Millennium Amphitheatre at 176th Street and 64th Ave in Surrey. Here is the schedule for the PPP finalists:
