Lindsay Lohan Debuts “Her” Collection for Emanuel Ungaro

You read right, Lindsay “La Loca” Lohan has landed a job! She is the newly appointed Artistic Advisor, to Estrella Archs, the Creative Director of French design house Emanuel Ungaro. Why Mounir Moufaririge, the CEO and President of Emanuel Ungaro, hired her is above me. In context, the girl has “style” – hear that anyone who wants to have a position at a prestigious fashion house? Basically just wear leggings and have orange skin, with a touch a whole lot of an inebriated attitude.

When the collection debuted on Sunday, October 4th, the catwalk was saturated with sweet ultra-mini party girl dresses (think of a less fabulous version of Balmain), disgustingly sour draped harem pants (so Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2009), and an eye sore of glittery nipple pasties and hearts. The collection over all wasn’t a complete train wreck, although it was expected that it wasn’t going to wow either – though I was hoping it would, Linds!

But honestly, I wonder just how much of her was involved in the creative process, besides touching fabric on the clothes rack while posing for pictures backstage. Because immediately, after the show, backstage, Lindsay was seen partying it up with Akon. Take your job seriously Lindsay – we’re all rooting for you! It seems like Estrella Archs has her work cut out for her, carrying the burden of two fashion crosses, hopefully she and Lindsay will actually collaborate for a stellar collection, next season.

good god, she needs to give it a rest. Its pathetic that someone like her can land such an amazing job and opportunity. It dosn't say much for Mounir Moufarrige as the collection probably would have been way better if they would have hired someone deserving of the job.

Just caught a glimpse of the runway show on FT today and hated it - what was with all the hearts? Who would wear half of that stuff? La Lohan is out of her league in the fashion world...

I love Linds (props to Mean Girls), but this was just an eye sore of a collection. I bet even she wouldn't wear half those things, and also just because her overpriced 6126 leggins collection is doing well, it doesn't mean that she's "in touch" with fashion.
