If you find that you have some spare time and need some extra cash, why not consider working part-time? A few paid hours on the weekends can amount to just enough for that cute pair of Levi’s or a few extra movies with your friends. Whatever reason you have for finding work, take a look first at some of the coolest part-time jobs for students our age!
Tutoring
There are always kids struggling with homework. As long as you aren’t one of them, go ahead and start a tutoring service! A few flyers proclaiming your superior intellectual skills will help you find quite a few willing students. Tutoring is flexible in terms of time, and the experience of helping out others can be very rewarding.
Sales Associate
Working at a favourite store is one of the most popular part-time job choices for teens. Since such a placement entitles you to employee discounts and first dibs on new merchandise, why wouldn’t you go for it?

Making sandwiches at your local Subway or Quiznos is straightforward work with reasonable pay. This position requires little or no experience making it a great starter job. As a bonus, you acquire the skills needed to making the perfect sub.

Lifeguard
If you have the right certification and training, consider becoming a lifeguard at your local pool. While watching people swim may not be the most exciting job in the world, it sure is leisurely. Remember, you’re paid by the hour! As a plus, lifeguards have been deemed “cool” by pop culture. Prepare for gasps of admiration from others as you reveal your occupation.
Community Centre Worker
There are many monotonous jobs in the world; this is not one of them. Working at a community centre is always something to be excited about. Whether you are coaching sports for youth or taking care of kids in the drop-in program, there’s always something new going on. Movie Theatre Cast Member
You don’t need a lot of experience; there isn’t a lot of pressure. But the real reason that makes this cool is the fact that as a cast member, you have unlimited access to movies while on the job.
Babysitter
A classic favourite of teens and preteens everywhere, babysitting is still one cool job. Looking after children is an excellent way to learn responsibility and looks great on a first resumé.
Theme Park Crew Member
With screaming kids, roller coasters, cotton candy, and game booths all around you, “fun” is the only word possible to describe a job at a theme park near you! Because these places usually employ a huge number of young people, it’s also easy to meet new friends when working as a crew member.

With experience in a movie
With experience in a movie theatre, I can say it's an extremely fun job. Although the public can be irritating and hard to deal with, unlimited free movies, popcorn and drinks makes it worthwhile. Plus, your fellow workers will be really fun and friendly - and even the managers become your friends!
Yes, But...
I agree that these would be awesome jobs (you've summarized pretty much everything out there) but some of them are a bit harder to get into. The libraries are usually rather particular, and so are most pet stores. However, manual labor never goes out of style - lots of people want things carried, lifted, and painted. Or so my councilor says, anyways.
Nice, comprehensive list! Us
Nice, comprehensive list! Us students are lucky these days because job opportunities are being made available for us more than ever, so we should definitely take advantage of them.
