Aiur's Fall

Aiur besieged on all sides,
Held on and on unyielding to all the tides,
Its defenders faithful true,
Held on by the stubborn few,
Its fall inevitable,
Again and again as the tides would come,
Did the defenders break them upon their shields,
On and on it went,
One by one they fell,
Refusing to stay their fight,
A final cry of defiance,
Until the last fell,
Amongst the endless Night,
Never to see the day again.
