Animal Shelters

Tens and hundreds and thousands of pets,
Wander the streets without their needs met.
They starve and they suffer, all skin and bones,
Without a place to belong, a family - a home.
Neglected, abandoned, they're left out to rot,
Yet somehow make do with whatever they've got.
Animal shelters rescue countless strays,
With hopes that the lost won't forever stay.
But all creatures need more than food and a roof,
They need someone to love, like a dog needs his woof.
These noble shelters need help to save,
The lives of the weak as well as the brave.
So go adopt an animal, they're not lacking love,
You can be an angel, sent from above.
Donate, contribute, and though it seems strange,
If just one person helps, the whole world will change.
