I Believe

I believe in God,
The forgiving Lord Almighty.
I believe in the teachers,
Who have helped me in life.
I believe every child has
The right to be alive today.

I believe in myself,
To make right decisions.
I believe in you,
To believe in me.
I believe in the power,
To be free of war.

I have my soul,
To close that hole.
To become happy,
And not sad.
For I believe now,
For this is how.

I had come to think,
What would school be like?
If I was always unforgiving,
And never tried hard.
How would it feel,
If I said I didn’t care?

I believe in me,
And certainly in you.
You’ve helped me forgive,
And forget those haters.
And for that, I say,
Thank you.
