Someday

I dream a dream
where anything is possible
where you can look into the stream
and see a multitude of colours
I know it's make believe
just a figment of my imagination
but I'd rather dream than grieve
about how the world is changing
into something it never was
I'd rather dream that
a million butterflies give me kisses
than knowing that love is what society misses
I'd rather dream a dream of a world
where no pain exists
only happiness; no problems
where no one ever needs to quit
I know it's not true
It's just a dream
and make believe
but I'm not going to give up
I hope it happens
someday
