You OK?

You OK? Is what you ask,
I’m tempted to answer then I remember the past.
All the times I told you things,
Your false promises,
And then, something sinks in,
Everything I share with you,
Has a way of making its way back to me,
Through someone who isn’t you.
The first few times I tried to deny,
It wasn’t you, but then something inside,
Tells me to believe that you’re not all you appear
This hurts, you seemed different then the rest,
Your smiles, I now know they were all fake,
Your promises, all lies.
It hurts,
But I’ll get through this.
I always do.
