It’s the start of a new school year which means yes, more homework. Luckily, we’ve come up with five of the best albums to help you conquer the arduous task.
5. Explosions in the Sky:With five songs on the album, each about eight to 10 minutes long, you’ll be sure to finish your homework before having to hit repeat. Explosions in the Sky creates beautiful songs with only three guitars and drums. With these simple, yet dramatic instrumentals playing in the background, you won’t get too distracted by the music and doing homework won’t be such a bore.

Glee is a musical/comedy TV show about a group of outcasts who form a glee club in their high school. Some of their songs reflect their troubles at school, which is perfect for the frustration you may be feeling while doing homework. You can easily relate to most of the songs here, and there is a large variety of songs and genres on this album.

2. Fleetwood Mac: Rumours is considered Fleetwood Mac’s most successful album, selling over four million copies and hitting No. 1 back in 1976. With the slower songs, you'll be able to focus on the task at hand while listening to the upbeat tracks will brighten your mood.

1. Yiruma:Most people would agree that classical music is the best for doing homework because it helps you relax and become more focused - but at the same time classical music can also make you quite drowsy. Fortunately, we’ve found an album full of piano composition, but the music is lighter and more upbeat. So now you’ll be able to concentrate better and not having to worry about falling asleep!

I'll definitely check out the
I'll definitely check out the first one, "Explosions in the Sky" and Owl City is great! I listen to him while doing homework and it doesn't distract me, though the music is great to sing along to, and it inspires me to get my homework done. However if I listened to "Glee" I'd probably end up dancing and belting it out along with Lea Michele.
Music Is Important
Whether you prefer techno, showtunes, mainstream, classical, or whatever else, music is definitely a must have. Its a bummer when you get a teacher who doesn't allow ipods during work time, but while you're doing after school homework, these are definitely some great suggestions!
I'll definitely try listening
I'll definitely try listening to some of these! Maybe there should be a homework pump-up playlist too. Have you heard of Bon Iver? He plays soft music so he's great to listen to also!!
