Converse Spring Shoes

Converse Goes Light and Bright for Spring 2011

Between our wavering weather and our desire for the hottest trends, choosing shoes to fit your spring wardrobe can be a challenge. Luckily, Youthink had a chance to catch up with Chris White, Vancouver sales rep. for Converse, to learn as much as possible about the legendary sneaker line’s latest collection. Here are just a few of our favourites for the upcoming season!

Chuckit
The traditional Chuck Taylor tennis shoe is taken up a notch with the release of The Chuckit. “With this type of shoe, you have something that’s really light and comfy like a sandal, but has that closed-toe aspect of a sneaker,” says White.

The Helen
In honour of Canadian world champion badminton player Jack Purcell’s 75th anniversary, and named after his wife, the Helen is being re-issued this spring and features a more delicate silhouette compared to the traditional Jack Purcell shoe.

DC Comics
The Chuck Taylor All Star line has teamed up with DC Comics and the focus this spring is on Superman and Batman. “They’ve gone with the real vintage comic book look, which is great,” says White.

The Light
A ballerina flat with a casual twist is the perfect definition for the new Chuck Taylor – The Light. Inspired by springtime, these dainty flats are offered in an array of colours, including pastels.
