Who Were the Best and Worst Dressed at the 16th Annual SAG Awards?

On Saturday, January 23rd, Hollywood’s brightest stars twinkled at the 16th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. Sure, the event isn’t as big of a deal as the Oscars, but since it is an occasion where peers recognize peers for their achievements, a SAG award is a big honour.

When it came to fashion, celebs turned up on the red carpet in the hottest colours of the season (Diane Kruger in a mustard one-shoulder dress by Jason Wu, Sandra Bullock in a cobalt blue-trimmed Alexander McQueen). Here are our awards for the best and worst dressed at the 2010 SAGs!

BEST DRESSED:
Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson put the weight-gain rumours to rest
with this stunning back-baring Emilio Pucci. To add
drama, she draped a graceful Sautoir necklace down
her back.

Jane Krakoski
Jane Krakoski SAG Awards
White gowns rule again at the SAG awards and Jane
Krakowski pulls off a satin Alberta Ferretti very
elegantly with some Martin Katz jewelry to top it off.
She seems to adore the one-shouldered dress look
lately.

Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore SAG Awards
A strapless navy Monique Lhuillier gown just flows
over Drew Barrymore. The dress was definitely
working for her, but the make-up… not so much.
The award-winning actress was going for a 60s-
inspired look, but her face just needed a little
more pizzazz to go with her dress. A little more
jewelry would’ve been a nice touch too, but great
dress!

WORST DRESSED:
Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep SAG Awards
Oh Meryl! Streep took a risk with a green and white
printed gown and unfortunately it didn’t pay off.
This Balenciaga dress definitely requires an acquired
taste, and even if you do like it, it really isn’t red-
carpet worthy. Considering the veteran actress is in
her early 60s, she looks great! She just needed to
choose a dress that would better enhance her beauty.
