Glam up Your Holiday Wardrobe

How often have you seen a damsel perched on a pair of two-inch open-toed stilettos, loosely draped in a flirty blouse, all while trembling ridiculously in the -10 C December air?

Luckily, this year’s holiday fashions are perfect for keeping you slick, snug and in style at all the parties you’ll attend at this time of year.

Oh Those Cashmeres!
Here’s a piece of history for you! Ever since the 18th century, this feathery soft and light material made from goat wool has been kicking around. Whether you’re a dude or a dudette, cashmere is in style this winter. Ask for a warm and luxurious sweater this Christmas or go for cashmere scarves, gloves or even a beret!

From Lustre to Lust...
Metallics really add shine to the prosaic winter colours. It’s not just the metallics either – shimmering arrays of sequins, silk and jewels all appeared on this year’s runways. Glam up your cardigan with a chic, glossy belt or contrast an attention-grabbing coat with a soft silver clutch and voilà, you’re looking slick.

Heed My Heels
If you’re as shoe-crazy as me, then this year’s holiday shoe collection will not disappoint. It’s surprising how much a pair of heeled boots can spice up your outfit! Beyond boots, there are wedges, stilettos and pumps at the top of this season’s list. Look for a pair in a warm holiday colour or get extra festive with a little sparkle.

All-purpose bags
Just like you would never devour your sundae without the syrup, you should never leave the house “unarmed.” Look for bags with removable straps that will save you some cash this Christmas – you’ll be able to wear them as a handbag or messenger bag – multi-purpose rocks!
