stephanie Meyer

Celebrities are often defined as people who provide ordinary people like myself with entertainment. We never really consider authors as celebrities.

If I could be any celebrity for a day, it would have to be Stephanie Meyer because she is an inspiring writer.

Stephanie Meyer wrote the Twilight Saga one of the most acclaimed book series in the world. She is a famous author who has been celebrated worldwide in her short career.

If I could be Stephanie for one day, I would be able to look into her imagination and see what inspired her to write the Twilight Saga. For one day, I would be able to see what Stephanie Meyer goes through on a day-to-day basis. I would get the sense of what it is to be a great author who is famous worldwide.

I would also like to be Stephanie for one day because then I could write myself a letter and keep it, and one day maybe that letter would be worth a lot.

And the winner is...

Congratulations to Louisa Ledesma from Burnaby South Secondary School!

The Man With A Dream

A celebrity, in my eyes, is someone who is inspiring and hardworking, yet manages to remain sophisticated and glamorous. A man who started from humble beginnings and ended leaving a legacy so great, it touched the many hearts of people, young and old. He is an innovator. He is an artist. He is Walter Elias Disney.Edit

Everyone knows the much-acclaimed name of Disney. A hermit living in the deep depths of the Amazonian forests would know who Walt Disney is. To put myself in his shoes, I would be able to see all his ideas, the root of his creativity and his passion in doing what he loves best—to entertain people from all over the world with a simple swoosh of a pencil. As a child, I grew up watching his movies such as The Lady and the Tramp, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Bambi. I was both inspired and amazed. All it took for Walt Disney was a dream. His dream created a wonderful world for people of all ages to get lost in. One Disney movie was able to make me feel so much emotion. Creating incredible characters certainly wasn’t enough for Disney. He wanted us to have more. This resulted in Disneyland, a magical kingdom filled with joys and warmth one cannot fathom. It was simply the magic created by Disney. Decades, even centuries will pass, but Walt Disney’s journey through people’s hearts will never end.

An Unsung National Hero

The merriam webster dictionary defines a celebrity as a famous and celebrated person.'' However, I believe there is more to a celebrity. Yes, its undeniable that the aesthetic musicians such as Lady Gaga and the dazzling actors such as Brad Pitt are prominent celebrities. However, a celebrity cab also be a famous humanitarian like Canada's own Craig Kielburger.

To those of you who are not familiar with Craig, he is a political activist , who works actively to fight child abuse and neglect in developing countries. He is the chair of two world renowned chairty organizations, Free the Children and Me to We.

If I was Craig Kielburger, I would no longer need to dream of the day when I can make a difference in impoverished people living in Southern Asia and Africa, I could make it happen instantaneously. Not onlly will I be able to influence keen adolescents, I would also be able to raise money to build necessities such as wells and schools in Africa. (Particularly, I would visit Sierra Leone, one of Africa's least developed countries). As well, I would bring national pride to the country, as a respected and benevloent humanitarian. Fuerthermore, as Craig Kielburger for a day, I would have the priviledge to meet world leaders and other influential activists, ranging from Canada's Queen Elizabeth II to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Queen Rania of Jordan.

But, these aren't the all perks of being this Ontario- born activist: at the end of the day, I would feel a rush of accomplishment-knowing I made a difference in the world, A difference in the lives of people who do are unable to help themselves.

Thrilling

Every day there are new faces, new celebrities, new crushes. However, a lot of the people we see on MTV are not that talented. They are sexy and fun but why are they really celebrities? If all you need is to have a good time, then half my grade would be famous. If I could choose to be any celebrity in the world for a day, I would choose to be Michael Jackson. It would not be easy, with everyone judging me and having a million reasons against me that could put me in jail, but he is a truly talented person. I think it would be hard to experience the tough life he led, but I think someone deserves to feel his pain. Everybody has different advantages in life, and Michael certainly had his share of advantages and disadvantages. Ever since he was young he was expected to sing, and even though this was a great gift to us all, showbiz from a young age certainly must have contributed to the messed up lifestyle he had to overcome later on. He had Never land Ranch to give him the childhood that he never had, and even though it may have been strange, it was his way of coping with his problems. Michael Jackson was and is a phenomenal celebrity, and I think it would be neat to be him for a day, besides, I would like to see heaven.

a HERO!

well I'm pretty sure he's not a celebrity but he was my hero he was named Martin Luther King Jr. I really loved how he stood up for his own kind... I also loved how he was proud to be suffering because he knew it would do his kind a good thing see right now blacks are friends with whites or any other culture... I'm friends with this girl named Diana she's black and she really is nice...

The World Needs More of This

Funny, charming, and talented are only a few words to describe this celebrity. To say that she has rockin' dance moves is perhaps a more fitting way to describe her. You all know I'm talking about the beautiful Ellen Degeneres!

Whenever she walks into a room, you can instantly see everyone's face lighting up. With her big personality and unique charisma, Ellen keeps it fresh... all the time! Whether you want to talk, dance, or laugh like you've never laughed before, know that Ellen is your go-to-girl!

Speaking of which, Ellen is, in my opinion, one of the world's most inspirational people. She stands up for women's rights, and will never back down until she knows there is equality amongst mankind.

Ellen is a big believer in helping others out. She uses her success as a platform to make a positive change in the world. She has made a big difference in the world, and will continue to do so for many more years to come.

Again, funny, charming, and talented are only a few words to describe Ellen. With a big personality, a voice that reaches out to others, and not to mention her plethora of dance moves, who wouldn't want to Ellen Degeneres?

She's just recently reached her goal of earning a spot on the cover of Oprah Magazine. Now, let's get her on the cover of YOUTHINK magazine!

Queen Rania, a Stunning Beauty, Inside and Out

She is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen in my life, and WOW. Is she is stunning! However, she is more than just a pretty face.

Rania Al Abdullah, Queen of Jordan, has always been my role model, and I have always respected her, as a person, and as a queen.

Usually, when you think of royal women, you usually imagine a daffodil sitting nice and pretty, waiting for a man to command. However, as much of a daffodil Queen Rania is, she is always on her feet, helping children and women in her country. Instead of being a wallflower in her palace, she chose to dedicate her life in humanitarian work, keen to educate people.

Queen Rania is trying to improve the lives of people in her country and beyond, and she is trying to help solve differences between the West and East. I am proud of Queen Rania’s work, and she is a wonderful person to represent Palestinians, Jordanians, and all Arabs and Muslims.

She is very open-minded, and her way of thinking is very modern. It’s great that she’s communicating with the world by networking with people through Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Although she is a very busy woman, trying to make the world better for everyone, she still finds time for her children and her husband. A wonderful wife, a kind mother, and a strong, inspiring woman. That’s who Queen Rania is.

I would like to step in her shoe just for a minute, to experience what she went through to become the wonderful role model she is today, and how she manages to devote her time to the society as she takes care of her family. I truly think that all the humanitarian work she has done, is shining through her, and that’s why she has this beautiful glow, every time she smiles through her YouTube lens.

I'm not afraid...

He has been my chidhood idol all my life and he still is. He showed the world that it doesn't matter what race you are, you can rap.

He's the one and only, he is Eminem! I would like to be him for a day because I dream to be famous and sometimes I wonder what its like to be a guy. Hahaha.

Also, in his previous album, Relapse, he made that song called Beautiful and it spoke to me. I love all his music but in that song he said what it's like in his shoes.

You know, I would actually want to see what he is going through, because some people say he's got it easy. Does he?

If I could be any celeb for

If I could be any celeb for a day, I would have to pick Justin Bieber. (Even though I am not a boy) I have always wanted to be a boy for a day anyways, why not pick a famous one? It’s like two birds with one stone.

Hey! Who wouldn’t want to be an uprising international teen sensation? Plus having thousands of girls trailing after you and screaming your name must be pretty cool. Also this boy is packed with so much talent that I sometimes wonder how you could fit it all into his 5’3 self, but none the less this 16 year old boy from Stratford Ontario has made the biggest news uproar in entertainment industry in ages!

He has millions of fans all over the world. Just the mere sight of him makes girls faint and hyperventilates. Really! I am not kidding! Just a single tweet from him on twitter sends his fans into a frenzy and twitter into over capacity mode. He’s got over 3 million followers on twitter alone! With his floppy mop hair, soulful brown eyes and amazing voice. He is one sought after kid!

Who wouldn’t want to be him for a day? Even an hour!
