It's Time for The Bieber Haters to Grow Up

We’ve all seen him gracing every magazine cover, being worshiped by millions of girls worldwide and single-handedly topping the charts with hit singles. It’s the one, the only, Justin Bieber. Despite all his success, to no surprise, the Bieber-haters are everywhere. Don't get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with not catching “Bieber Fever,” but what is wrong is when the haters like seeing bad things happen to him.

Yesterday, I happened to stumble upon a friend’s link on Facebook about the young star. Naturally, I opened the link to see whatever the commotion was about and to find out why four people instantly “liked” it. To my utter horror, it was a short clip of an audience member at one of Justin’s concerts who was reported to have tossed a water bottle at him while on stage. It turns out the object, which hits Justin on the head, was not a water bottle but believed to be a pack of Sour Patch Kids inside a rolled up "I Love Justin Bieber" T-shirt. Nevertheless, the haters loved this video when they thought it really was a water bottle that hit Justin in the head. How cruel is that!?

I’ve asked a few people why they have such dislike for Justin and ever so often someone fickle-minded retorts, “because he’s a little boy,” or “he’s short.” How silly do those reasons sound? It’s ridiculous to judge someone based on height and didn’t we all go through that same awkward phase of adolescence at one point in our lives? I’ve also heard the criticisms about his seemingly emasculating hair. Get over it people; it’s just hair!

His songs are bound to not suit everyone’s taste in music, but why does anyone have to emphasize his flaws to such a degree that they like to see him potentially get hurt. Everyone should give him a break; he’s only a kid. In fact, I think it’s time for the haters to grow up a little bit.

Say it loud Loren!

FINALLY an intelligent piece of text concerning Justin Bieber. Do haters not realise how equally annoying they are to the fan girls. Often even more annoying?

We all say we support a "hate free world" "world peace" and the like, but how can we use this kid as our own form of entertainment?

Is it more acceptable to bully a celebrity than it is to torment that kid in school? Is it ok because it's someone you don't know? Is it ok because it's someone we all know?

Everyone has the right not to be humiliated.

And to the professional haters: please go outside and play instead of spamming the interwebs.

Yes

Totally agreed!! Very well said!!
