5 Unhealthy Fad Diets

1. The Lemonade Diet

Beyoncé Knowles famously lost about 20 pounds on this diet for her role in Dream Girls. Followers commit to this cleanse for anywhere between four and 14 days, surviving on only lemon juice, water, maple syrup and cayenne pepper.

2. The Grapefruit Diet

This extreme diet claims that when eaten with protein, grapefruits burn fat and cause weight loss.

3. The Chicken Soup Diet

This one-week diet allows followers an “approved” breakfast per day and unlimited chicken soup.

4. The Hot Dog Diet

Yup, believe it or not, such a thing exists. Amongst a few frankfurters, dieters also eat peanut butter and eggs. This three-day diet claims to increase metabolism.

5. The Cabbage Soup Diet

This one-week fad diet allows you to have fruits and vegetables and lots of – you guessed it – cabbage soup. Ick.

The only healthy and

The only healthy and consistent way to lose weight and keep it off: Healthy diet and exercise. Enough said.

Mind over matter

It doesn't matter how far-fetched any of these sound, because to a person obsessed they'll try any crazy diet. Don't trust that because " it totally worked for Beyoncé", that it will work for you.

Healthy eating and exercise will always succeed over trendy diets. By making a life choice and changing your state of mind, you'll have a far better outcome then any of these fads.

ick

wow, this is pretty outrageous. I don't see why people go on such diets. People have to understand that if they want to have a better image, if they want one so bad, they must work for it. What they also don't understand is the fact that the diets mentioned above (and many others like them) do much more harm than good for their bodies, and the weight comes back anyways, so what's the point?
