Sound Off: Don’t Judge Twilight By Its Cover

My first reaction when I head about Twilight? “A book about a human falling in love with a vampire? That is so stupid. Besides, who would fall in love with Dracula? Who would read this?”

Well, I soon learned that you shouldn’t judge it if you haven’t given it a try.

Now, I know all there is to know about the whole series. I have read the books every morning until 2:00 am, reluctantly putting them down while I ate dinner or did homework. Every free second at school I spent with a book in my hands – I even almost got it taken away. I waited restless weeks for Breaking Dawn to come out, then a couple more before I could buy it.

So I guess you could call me a Twi-nerd.

And I have just a few things to say to the people who are just like I used to be (you know just a few).

Shush up!

Who is your Twilight soulmate or personality match? Take the quiz!

Why are you all so against Twilight? Have you even read it? Have you even tried to open up your minds a little to the fact that it has potential?

I know you may be fed up with how most of the girls at your school are crushing on a fictional character, and you think we should just get a life. But we have the right to freedom. We have the right to like this book and express it, share it!

Yes, you have the right to not read this book if you do not want to, but honestly, we are just as fed up with you as you are with us. Give it a rest. No one is caring, or even listening.

Bottom line – you can’t judge a book by its cover.

I think a lot of people are

I think a lot of people are upset about Twilight because it's becoming a fad. Once something starts to get popular, the people who first liked it will hate it. It's really unfortunate.

The cover is pretty anyway... I love the books! My friend tried it out but she said it was boring, well she's not a novel reading girl anyway and I guess there were too many pages for her, oh well...
