10 Summer Activities for Youth

10 summer activities to help you make the most out of the season.

Before you know it, summer will be gone and you’ll be back to hitting the books so enjoy these precious few months while you can!

Hit up the Beach!
To some, going to the beach may be a daily routine; if not, go to the beach at least once while we have amazing weather. After a couple of hours of being with friends, playing in the water and soakin’ up some sun, you’ll never want to leave.

Go Camping
If it’s with your family or with friends, camping is always a great time. Campfires, swimming, S’mores… need I say more?

Outdoor concert, anyone?
If you’ve never been to an outdoor concert, make sure to go to one this summertime. They’re tons of fun and many are even free!

Clean Something
What, cleaning?! Although it sounds like a crazy idea, reorganizing your closet, car or whatever could make you feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

Be a Tourist for a Day
I’m not saying get a fanny pack and carry a map wherever you go, but go check out a part of town you’ve never seen before, bring a friend and you will end up having a blast.

Watch the Sunrise
This may involve getting up early, but you’re probably sleeping in every other day. Wake up early, pull an all-nighter – whatever you wish. It’ll be so breathtaking that you won’t want it to end.

Do Some Stargazing
Grab a blanket and head out to your backyard. You will be amazed at what goes on up above, and plus, you get to make a wish for every shooting star you see!

Water Balloon Fight
Need I say more? Just remember to avoid the face. Play fair.

Get a Haircut
Whether it’s major cut or your basic trim, mix it up a little! Your hair will start to look a little drab after all that summer heat, so freshen it up!

Go to or Host a BBQ
It may seem standard for summer, but sometimes we forget about barbeques. Invite old friends and family and you’ll have a great time catching up.
