5 Tips To Protect Yourself Without Ruining Your Summer

Summer vacation is just around the corner and that means the beach, the sun and a whole lot of tanning. After a long winter, the sun has an all-seasons pass to blaze high in the sky this summer. While you are out and about soaking up some rays, remember these five easy tips to enjoying the sunshine without wilting in the heat.

Sunscreen, sunscreen and more sunscreen.
Choose a sunscreen with a high SPF, especially if you have a lighter skin tone or are prone to burning. Remember to reapply every two to four hours, even more frequently if you are swimming or sweating.

Cover up that noggin.
Hats are “in” this summer, so you can stay fashionable while avoiding sunstroke. Keeping your head covered means keeping that thinker cool all day.

Drink up.
Keep that water bottle at your side the next time you go on a bicycle ride through the park. Drinking water keeps your body hydrated and leaves you feeling cool. Try to stay away from sugary drinks that will dehydrate your body.

Keep it loose.
Loose-fitting clothes protect your skin from the damages of the sun. Wearing light colours deflects the suns rays and keeps your body temperature down. Avoid black.

Wear your shades.
Not only are sunglasses the final touch to your summer outfit, they protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. If you’re looking for a new pair of shades this season, keep a look out for sunglasses with good UV Protection.
