The perfect movie for any season.
What’s the story?
(500) Days of Summer starts off much like any other romantic comedy: boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl – but it ends much differently. The boy, Tom (Gordon-Levitt) believes in love at fi rst sight and in meeting “the one.” The girl, Summer (Deschanel), thinks much differently. She does not believe in love. That of course does not stop Tom from going after her, falling in love with her and winning her over. But, relationships are complicated, and Tom must rethink what he believes about love.
Why see it?
This new romantic comedy is not your typical love story, but it’s still a movie about love that will give you butterflies in your stomach. Personally, I really liked this movie. It captured all the downfalls and imperfections of everyday relationships. Real relationships include arguments, disagreements and fights – they don’t all end happily ever after. Director Marc Webb does a great job honestly portraying realistic characters in all their relationship glory and failure.
Problems?
(500) Days of Summer is definitely more of a chick flick, so guys may want to skip this one. My only criticism is that the end of the movie is is a bit jarring.
All in all:
(500) Days of Summer is an offbeat romantic comedy worth seeing.

I loved this movie! A
I loved this movie! A realistic portrayal of relationships and I liked that it didn't use the cliche romantic fairytale ending. The film also has a brilliant soundtrack too!
Totally agree!
I loved "500 Days of Summer" for the reason that it is refreshingly realistic. Life isn't always happily-ever-after and for the first time a Hollywood flick shows us the not so great aspect of love.
I am with you when you speak
I am with you when you speak of how realistic this movie is. Upon watching it, all the flaws of both characters and the parts of the plot that typical romcom lovers wouldn't like are presented immediately so we have nothing to be surprised about. Even then, it captures our attention.
Very informative
I like how you truly expressed how much you liked this movie, yet you were still able to give some criticism. You provided the reader with a nice understanding of the movie, and posted a trailer with your article.
