Beating Those Rainy Day Blues

A rainy day can bring down even the most enthusiastic individual. There’s nothing quite like an overcast sky, arranged in an intimidating palette of greys, to send you running back to your bed. True, you could waste the day away hiding beneath the covers, dreaming of sunny skies and warm weather, but where’s the fun in that? It’s time to let the steady beat of raindrops on the roof be a creative muse for a whole new outlook on things to do during a rainy day!

Embrace the H20
I’m sure your first instinct to the drizzly downpour is to retreat back indoors and spend a bit of quality time with the TV or possibly a book. But why not defy logic and embrace the wet? Call up your friends and head to an indoor water park or swimming pool! Who cares if you have to brave the storm, you’re going to get wet anyways!

Get Out But Stay Dry
Not feeling quite so spontaneous? You can still get your fix of heading out with a whole variety of indoor venues open for your entertainment. Malls, movie theatres, bowling alleys, indoor cart racing, racquetball, the possibilities are endless! Staying indoors doesn’t necessarily have to mean staying sedentary!

Warm Up at Home
Still not so keen to head out on the slick roads? No problem. Spend the day experimenting with your cooking skills; no matter what the end result is, you’ll end up with a lot of good laughs or some tasty treats to reward your efforts. And if baking isn’t your thing, try your luck with a paintbrush or call up some friends and plan a movie marathon.

So while at first the stormy weather may seem daunting, try to see it as an opportunity for a whole new array of unique and exciting possibilities.
