3D is a veil
I loved the 'SAW' franchise; well the first two at least, but none the less I have watched all of them with unwavering commitment.
However, the last one was atrocious - I won't spoil it, but the ending gets my vote for most disappointing in recent memory. Yet somehow, as I exit the cinema all I here is "That was fantastic!" or "Great show!"; do you know why? Because it was 3-D; that appears to be all anybody cares about now.
'Avatar' as well was an atrocious movie - watch in 2-D and realize that - but the "immersing experience" makes it the highest grossing movie of all time. Too often now 3-D visual effects are being used to disguise thin and downright weak plots.
They've actually cancelled
They've actually cancelled the 3D portion of the first part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows due to a sub-par 3D conversion. I really hope they leave them both out of 3D
Fall Movies
I'm so glad the movie industry has taken a step away from computer graphics and pushing every movie into a 3D realm. All these fall movies look like stories with quality plots. I can't wait to see them all!
