What's the story?
Overbearing and controlling Liv (Hudson) and people-pleasing Emma (Hathaway) have been the best of friends for over 20 years. After accidentally scheduling their dream weddings at the infamous Plaza Hotel in New York on the same day in June, the battle of brides begins in order to see who will back down first.
Why see it?
Bride Wars is an uplifting and light-hearted movie, which is perfect for a night out with the girls. Hudson and Hathaway are witty and dramatic making their hysterical antics somewhat realistic. This inspiring story will have audiences laughing one minute and crying the next.
Problems?
If you're looking for a movie to increase your knowledge and challenge your brain, I'd think about choosing a different one. All the conflicts are settled much too easily and without much of a fight (other than the unforgettable tackle midway down the aisle). This easygoing movie is heartwarming, but very predictable.
All in All:
Bride Wars is a definite chick flick that will tug at your heartstrings. Watch out girls, it's a crier - don't forget the tissues!
