What’s the story?
The McCullen family has been the pioneer of lethal weaponry since the 1600s and now one of their descendents, James McCullen (Eccleston) is carrying on the family tradition. McCullen has created a greater, more devious invention – four nanotechnology-based warheads, all of which are capable of destroying an entire city. Now, the responsibility to stop McCullen and his accomplices from releasing the warheads is left to U.S. elitist organization,
G.I. Joe.
Why see it?
With all the nano-bugs, human chip implants and supersonic jets, if you’re a techno-moviegoer, G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra is the film to see! And if you’re craving some
unforgettable visual-effects, this movie has it all; the annihilation of the Eiffel Tower alone makes this film worth watching. There’s also a little romance for the girls when
Duke (Tatum) reunites with his deceptive ex-fiancée, the Baroness (Miller).
Problems?
Action movies should avoid two things: saturating the whole plotline with fist-fighting and kicking and making the villains way cooler than the heroes. G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra has just the right amount of action, but the movie would surely be more thrilling if the heroes’ personalities were not as dull.
All in all:
An action flick that will keep you hooked all the way through.
This movie was amazing. I
This movie was amazing. I thought it might have been to action packed for me but it was funny too!
