Paramount Pictures: Johnny Knoxville does a little jetskiing in "Jackass 3D"
4 Stars
The boys are back for one last round of stunts!
Rating: 18A
Stars: Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Bam Margera, and Jason 'Wee Man' Acuña,
What’s the story?
If you can really call it a story, Jackass follows the hilarious stunts performed by a group of best friends who love to hurt themselves. Johnny Knoxville and his gang of misfits return for a third and final installment and this time around the gang aims to push the envelope even more, with stunts titled “Lamborghini Tooth Pull” and “Beehive Tetherball.” There's plenty more stunts to honor the franchise's 10th anniversary, and not to mention, everything is in glorious 3D!
Why see it?
If you plan to watch Jackass 3D it does not matter if you are a long time fan or a newcomer to the franchise. Jackass 3D’s director, Jeff Tremaine takes full advantage of the 3D technology (and quite impressively, might I add) along with Phantom high-speed cameras that slow things down for the audience at a shocking 1,000 frames per second. Jackass 3D packs an endless supply of laughter from start of finish with stunts that will keep you cringing until the credits begin to role.
Problems?
The same problems occur in just about every Jackass episode or feature. The shear amount of grotesque stunts may make just about anyone lose their lunch. Jackass contains a lot of vomit and human fecal matter in a number of their stunts. So anyone with a weak stomach, I encourage none of you to spend your hard earned cash on this one.
All in all:
A raunchy, grotesque, shocking, but absolutely hilarious film.
