What’s the story?
This action-packed prequel tells the story of Wolverine’s past prior to him joining Professor X’s team of mutants known as X-Men. James Logan (Jackman), known as Wolverine, and his brother Victor Creed (Schreiber), who later becomes Sabretooth, belong to a superior group of mutants known as Team X. After witnessing a series of violent acts committed by this mutant group while on a mission in Nigeria to retrieve a very valuable meteorite, Wolverine decides to abandon the group vowing to live as normal of a life as possible. Six years later, Stryker, the leader of Team X, returns to tell Logan that someone is killing the mutants and offers him protection. Logan rejects the invitation and days later Victor arrives and slaughters his girlfriend. Promising revenge, Wolverine reconsiders and accepts Stryker’s request to go through the mutant Weapon X program. Little does he know though, that the last thing Stryker is offering him is protection…

Why see it?
This film gives us an in-depth look at Wolverine’s mysterious past, which includes the story behind the leather jacket and all the heartbreak that fuels his anger. Not to mention, this movie is filled with non-stop action from beginning to end.

Problems?
This movie is not for the faint of heart. With action scenes around every corner, if you don’t like violence this movie is not for you. Also, skip this flick if you’re not a fan of Wolverine as it is based solely on his past and doesn’t delve into much about the other characters.

All in all:
This dynamic, fantasy film will leave you on the edge of your seat begging for more.
