What’s the story?

A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger (Haley), a horribly disfigured serial killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another, but when they sleep, they are completely vulnerable to Freddy’s murderous rage. Will they be able to figure out a way to escape from Freddy Krueger’s reign of terror?

Why see it?
This movie is a fantastic remake of the original 1984 horror classic. For those of you who are adrenaline junkies, this is the perfect movie as it is sure to make you jump out of your seat. A Nightmare on Elm Street will keep you on edge wondering what will happen next. As well, this motion picture has a young but marvellous cast. Although he doesn’t have a big role in this movie, one such actor is Kellan Lutz, who you might recognize as Emmett in the Twilight movies. For all you Twilight lovers out there, it is a fun opportunity to see Lutz in such a wildly different role. After watching this movie, I dare you not to get the shivers when you hear someone sing the catchy line, “One, two, Freddy's coming for you.”

Problems?

Those of you who don’t want to see a lot of violence and gore in their movies – beware! A Nightmare on Elm Street contains a lot of death scenes that are quite disturbing. If you’re not a fan of being scared out of your mind, this movie probably isn’t suitable for you. On the other hand, if you’re a tough cookie, this movie is one big nightmare that isn’t going to scare you off.

All in all:
A Nightmare on Elm Street is an entertainingly creepy horror movie.
