5 Fun Things to Keep You and Your Friends Busy Over Spring Break

Spring break activies for youth!

Spring break, the saviour of sleep-deprived students the world over. But aside from the traditional sleep-a-thon, there is pressure to have at least one good story to tell when you get back to school! So here are a few offbeat ideas, but please, don't lose any sleep over them!

1. Have a musical marathon.
Haul your most shameless friends together to watch a stack of musicals - anything from Bollywood to '50s Hollywood, Google the lyrics and learn all the dance moves. You will then have some serious life skills and dance routines for the awkward-est of moments.

2. Find out about the "clubs" in your city.
Many restaurants and cafés have live entertainment going on for all ages. Be that a DJ, a jazz quartet, an improv group or a slam poet, there's sure to be something to catch your attention.

3. Learn how to make balloon animals.
Then tie the balloons together and make MONSTER balloon animals. Parade in public. Or not.

4. Go for a picnic, clichéd but brilliant.
Pack some food (takeout?) and some card games and go find a really big tree. If it's raining out, take the picnic to your living room floor.

5. Make dinner an event.
Invite a couple of people over, go grocery shopping and cook something you have no idea how to make. Incompetence encourages bonding.
