Nothing to celebrate about this album.

Although gospel music has influenced practically every genre of music (blues, rock and roll and country to name a few), it is best taken in these diluted forms rather than in this dose of pure, hard-core gospel sounds. Don’t be deceived by the familiar names that appear on the cover, such as 3 Doors Down and Queen Latifah; they perform another person’s work and therefore sound nothing like their usual selves. Also, the classic This Little Light of Mine is demeaned by the acoustic adaptation, unnecessarily fast tempo and distracting harmonica. Unfortunately, this album offered no glimpse of happiness.
