Pioneer boy-band delivers lacklustre, desperate comeback.
Once upon a time the Backstreet Boys were the biggest boy-band ever. This album proves that time was, indeed, a long time ago. For old fans, be forewarned that this sounds nothing like old-school BSB. Instead they opted for a refreshed image, ditching the blended harmonies that worked so well for them in the past for synthesized effects and cheap lyrics. Those who haven’t heard of BSB may be attracted to the dance-inspired beats and catchy rhythm for sure, but those who expect a classic act are bound for disappointment.
