Brand New: Daisy

Mixture of sounds has a little something for almost everyone.

The latest offering from Brand New has several things going for it: numerous instruments, numerous samples, numerous sounds, numerous ideas. The content and the sound varies from song to song, although it maintains an undertone of anger. Some tracks are vaguely reminiscent of an angst-ier Modest Mouse, with hints of old All American Rejects. Difficult to categorize, Daisy combines and defies genres, incorporating a range of influences from hymns to metal. This is a collection of tracks meant to be heard live, or at least through very loud, very good monitors.
