Breaking Benjamin: Dear Agony

Alternative band delivers the usual somber attitude, with a hint of diversity.

“I’m cold and broken,” begins the first song on Breaking Benjamin’s fourth album, Dear Agony. Like the majority of songs on this album, a melancholy tone seems to be evident throughout. Songs like Anthem of the Angels are great for carefree listening while songs like Crawl can be useful on a bitter day. Breaking Benjamin can be compared to bands like Nickelback, with the exception that it is a little heavier. Alternative may not be your style, but on a somber day, this is definitely the CD to listen to.
