Has Akon become a one-trick pony?

Akon's third and latest release, Freedom,sounds a lot like his previous two, 2004's Trouble and 2006's Konvicted. There are some differences, however, as the Atlanta R&B artist's lyrics have matured in tracks like Sunny Day and some tunes have a more dance-friendly sound, for example, Troublemaker. Overall, for an artist who has sold over seven million albums, I was expecting more from this CD.
