Avril Lavigne – Goodbye Lullaby

Avril Lavigne: Goodbye Lullaby

4 stars

Lavigne’s new album goes back to the basics.

Canada’s pop-punk princess takes it back to the basics with her fourth album, Goodbye Lullaby. The sassy pop-punk anthem What the Hell provides the punchy beginning the album needs and is definitely a throwback to the starlet’s Girlfriend days. Lavigne also presents her fans with an intensely personal look at herself in smooth ballads like Everybody Hurts and I Love You. Being the sole songwriter on half the songs on this album, this talented 26-year-old truly reminds us of her skills as a singer-songwriter, something she should be acknowledged for.
