Beast

In an increasingly familiar formula, Beast's Betty Bonifassi and Jean-Phi Goncalves are hard-hitting, emotional lyricists whose electronic sound is complemented by a wide range of acoustic instruments. The theme of misused lover can get repetitive and some songs are too weird to be fun ("Microcyte"). If you are melodically inclined this may not be the group for you, but if you like lyrics that speak of life's love lessons, then this could be your favourite album of the year.
