Dirty King is guaranteed to contain your newest favourite songs!

The Cliks have stepped it up another level: the lyrics, the music, even their voices are better than before! This Toronto band is not afraid to stand out, with its transgender male lead singer fronting an all-female band. On The Cliks’ sophomore album, Dirty King, the voices are hard to hear, which makes it hard to understand the lyrics, but the terrific tunes balance it all out. The tunes are intense and hard-rocking as usual, although the addition of string instruments in a few of the songs does soften up the edges. Meanwhile, the lyrics make you shiver; the meaning behind them so creative, dealing with defeat, deception and strength in rising above it all. Listen to it once, and you’ll have to listen to it again.
