Innovative folk-rock band returns with new sound.

The Decemberists have never failed to impress. The band’s fifth album, The Hazards of Love, is no exception. This album, with its rich folkloric feel, keeps in tradition with the band’s brilliant storytelling: you’ll be forever drawn to the perilous tale of a woman named Margaret and her lover, William. But the beauty of this album goes beyond the 17-track narrative. Deep and thrilling, each song on The Hazards of Love is played with a variety of different instruments, leaving every track sounding rich, full and undeniably beautiful. Inspirational and excellently composed, this album deserves your attention.
