Glee soundtracks are going downhill.

As of the end of its second TV season, Glee has released 13 companion soundtracks. While the show has remained popular throughout the ups and downs, the musical tracks have definitely taken a turn for the worse. On this album, cover versions of songs like Lady Gaga’s Born this Way and Adele’s Rolling in the Deep pretty much butcher the originals. The only things that save the cover of the classic Pure Imagination (from Willy Wonka) are the nonexistent variations from the original and the emotional power of the singers. Hopefully Glee can pick it up again in the third season, but a show based on high school can only last so long.
