Country star relishes past successes in latest release.

Gretchen Wilson has come a long way in the past six years: a Grammy, five top 10 singles, and four albums. Greatest Hits, her latest release, combines all her best songs into one album and it is no surprise she has enjoyed so much success. Her upbeat lyrics combined with a strong lead guitar and a solid backbone of drums and bass are the glue that hold her country-style masterpieces together. However, although her songs are catchy and well put together, there is not much variety in her music. The same style of music and the same lyrics directed at people who have been shut down or insulted before are heard throughout all her top hit songs.
