Incubus: If Not Now, When?

Incubus goes mellow with latest album.

After producing hit albums like Monuments and Melodies and Light Grenades, Incubus was expected to return with a rockin’ follow-up album. Instead, Incubus made a questionable turn towards the more romantic and mellow side. Their new, softer melodies are perfect for relaxing baths, but they’re not for rock fans who enjoy upbeat rhythms or heavy metal tunes with more soulful lyrics. So was years of waiting for this album worth it? Perhaps, if it had incorporated a bigger variety of sounds, including the heart-throbbing rock n’ roll guitar solos that Incubus is so good at.
