Actress-turned-singer takes off with compelling new album.

Those who appreciate impressive vocals, thoughtful, creative lyrics and sweet melodies will definitely enjoy Kate Voegele’s third studio album, Gravity Happens. The record is slightly undermined by its first four generic tracks of vocal gymnastics, but recovers well with pieces such as Burning the Harbor, Impatient Girl and title track, Gravity Happens. Best experienced with no distractions, this is definitely not background music. This varied collection of songs bodes well for the actress-turned-singer. Compelling, powerful, great.
