Kele’s first solo album is a jump into a different world.

Kele, who is better known as the lead vocalist for British band Bloc Party, has just released his first solo record, The Boxer, which showcases a new and risky sound. The album itself is a story: a story of life, trust, learning, possibility and failure, but it ends with a positive message and we are left with a comforting sense of optimism. The tranquil yet vivid sounds trigger an emotional awakening and a connection to the music. The Boxer’s musical composition and Kele’s diverse vocal range are paired up to pull the listener into a different world. From the simplest melodies to the most obscure sounds, this record has something for everyone.
