Australia’s pop temptress revives the love on her first cut in three years.

With the provocative single All The Lovers a prelude to its highly-anticipated release, Kylie Minogue’s eleventh studio cut Aphrodite does nothing less than assure fans that Minogue will not be daunted in an industry of increasingly young and marketable pop divas. On Aphrodite, Minogue dismisses the lately-generic electronic distortion and repetitive back-beats for shiny synth arrangements with refreshingly organic vocals, providing greater depth while maintaining that danceable punch. On Get Outta My Way Kylie re-establishes her will to rock, while on Everything is Beautiful Minogue offers relieving sincerity. The result is a collage of Kylie’s best attributes that, while slightly unfinished, satisfies.
