0Youthink's review of La Roux's self-titled debut album.

La Roux: La Roux

4 stars

Debut album finds inspiration in 1980s techno pop.

With the single Bulletproof appearing at number one in the United Kingdom, La Roux, Britain’s new electro-pop duo, is well on its way to stardom. Fronted by singer Elly Jackson but co-written and co-produced by Ben Langmaid, Elly brings unique style and charisma to the duo’s debut self-titled album. Sad lyrics about lost love, paired with a catchy techno beat will certainly have you hooked. With sexy seductive songs like Tigerlily, and sad songs about lost loves such as Cover My Eyes featured on the album, if her strange fashion sense doesn’t catch your eye, her beautiful lyrics and unique songs certainly will.

Christy’s fave track:
Tigerlily
