Easygoing soul rock best served with laughter and sunshine.

French singer Medi mixes components of soul, funk and rock into a solid debut effort. The rising singer's sound can be described as the middle ground between indie darling Matt Costa and a young Stevie Wonder. You Got Me (Moving) is filled with tunes that already feel comfortably familiar. The optimistically upbeat tracks You Take the Weight and The Woman I Used to Love deserve spots on the perfect road trip soundtrack. When West Coasters fall victim to dreary weather, this record acts as a getaway to an illusion of summer skies and sunshine.
